Have you ever heard about "The Candelaria and Santa Barbara" neighborhoods?

The Candelaria is an historic neighborhood for Bogota, Colombia. The architecture in this neighborhood, the old houses, churches and buildings have the Spanish Colonial and Barroque style. In this neighborhood you can find several universities, libraries and museums. Also, the other neighborhood I'm talking about is Santa Barbara. Santa Barbara is a very commercial neighborhood because there you can find "Unicentro" mall and in the 122 street, there are many shops were you can find the things you need; but Santa Barbara is not just a comercial neighborhood, is also a place were you can find a home, so this is a great neighborhood!


There are many attractions in the Candelaria as the Botero museum, located on the 11th street,   the Luis Angel Arango Library, that is the most important library of Colombia because contains 1.1 million books and is the most visited public library in Latin America; the Gold Museum, this contains more than 36.000 pieces in gold, shell, wood and stone and belongs to the Republic Bank; and Monserrate, that is the symbol by excellence in the capital of Colombia, this is a tourist attraction and also a church and a restaurant.

In Santa Barbara, your principal attraction is shopping, because here there are shops of food, clothes, and technologie. Also there you can find medical offices, and hospitals. The other attraction here can be the Unicentro mall, becuase there you have all you need and also if you want to go to the movies, in Unicentro you can find a theatre.


In conclusion, I hope you learned something abuot this great city and, remember, If you want to know more about the history of your city, so visit the Candelaria neighborhood, because this is a very cultural place because of the museums, the librarys and the most important thing!, Monserrate hill!, because if you visit Monsterrate, you will have the opportunity to visit the church and the delicious resturant that is located in this hill. And if you just want to go shopping, so visit Santa Barbara, the commercial neihgborhood.
